A collaboration between Eurac Research and Transart

“Book a Scientist” is an interdisciplinary initiative developed by Eurac Research in collaboration with TransArt, aimed at fostering new forms of exchange between scientific research and society.
The project brings research into everyday life by creating conversations in private homes across South Tyrol.
Based on a format developed by Swiss artists Caroline Barneaud and Stefan Kaegi (Rimini Protokoll), each gathering is shaped by questions, prompts, games and simple activities that encourage discussion around some of the key challenges of our time: climate change, energy, health, migration, rights, emerging technologies, cities and social transformation.

What if AI takes the stage?

How is artificial intelligence changing our lives, our work, our relationships, our thinking, and our language? And, not least, how do we, as a society, want to shape this transformation? As part of the Futurological Festival, the South Tyrolean Authors' Association (SAAV), the South Tyrolean Theatre Association (STV), and Eurac Research launched a playwriting competition. We invited original perspectives, compelling dramatic voices, and stories that depict a future that has already begun. The winning plays will be announced this autumn.
